Ana Marie
My family and I have been sponsoring a teenage girl through World Vision for many years. However, a couple of months ago, we received an email that said that our girl dropped out of the program so we no longer could sponsor her. It was one of those things where we will never know what happened. Since then, we have been talking about sponsoring another child. I didn't know that anything had been set up until my mom forwarded me an email today from Remember Nhu that said that we are now sponsoring a young girl from the Philippines. Her name is Ana Marie and she is 15 years old. Her birthday is the same month as mine, just 1 year and 10 days apart. I was very excited to hear this, especially because we are very close in age. I had been talking to my parents and youth pastor about helping girls get out of sex trafficing. By sponsoring a young girl, the money helps her stay safe. A little bit about Ana Marie is that she lives in a Remember Nhu family house with one of her older sisters. Soon, after her family coordinator gets in touch with us, we can begin sending Ana Marie letters. I am very excited and I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity.

Heart of a friend
Tonight, while at church for a movie night, I was walking down the hall and I heard one of my older friends singing and playing his guitar. I went in his office to say hi and he sang me a newer song that I had never heard before. It's so encouraging to hear people sing while pouring their heart out in worship to God. It's the little things like this that make me feel happy and blessed to be in a place where I can worship God with no restrictions.
